The advantage of using natural leather over synthetic materials

The use of synthetic materials not only causes skin sensitivities for people, but due to the fact that chemicals and petroleum are used in their production process, they have an unpleasant smell. However, due to the use of natural animal skin and vegetable dyes used in the dyeing process, leather products have a special and unique scent that does not exist in nature.

Flexibility of leather

Due to the fact that synthetic materials need to be produced in many processes to resemble leather and there are many layers in its construction, their manufacturers are forced to use cheap and non-resistant materials. Therefore, synthetic materials become brittle, crack and decay in a short period of time and its layers become visible, so that it is no longer possible to use the product. But leather has a lot of flexibility due to the natural needs of the growing animal and never loses its flexibility over time.

The breathability of leather

One of the unique properties of leather is its breathability. This means that leather breathes air like a living creature and exhales the moisture inside through its tiny pores. This prevents perspiration and ultimately the accumulation of bad odors inside the product's closed environment (such as bags, coats, gloves and leather shoes). But artificial materials that are made of non-porous layers and injected foam are completely devoid of this amazing property, and this causes the accumulation of moisture in the product and causes rotting, mold, and ultimately the creation of a foul smell.

The lack of seasonality of leather products

This property of leather breathability has caused that the use of leather products such as bags and shoes is not exclusive to a certain season. Using plastic bags in the hot season causes sweating in the hands and skin moisture contact with the material and causes severe skin sensitivity and eczema. Therefore, it puts heavy medical expenses on the shoulders of humans. But leather, while absorbing the moisture of the body, quickly releases it from other pores, and this circulation and air circulation in all seasons creates a pleasant feeling in humans and does not limit the use of leather to a certain season.

Leather's impact resistance

For a long time, leather has been used as a raw material for making shields, sheaths for swords, armor, helmets for soldiers, as well as horse saddles, and in the new era for making holsters, special sports clothes for shooting, etc. The reason is the lower weight and fortunately the high resistance of leather against shocks, tensions and severe pressures. But synthetic materials must have more weight in order to have such a high resistance, while their lifespan against impact and pressure is much shorter than leather.

Leather resistance to heat

The extraordinary heat resistance of leather has made it a widely used material in various industries. The work clothes of the workers of blacksmithing, casting and metal smelting industries, as well as the manufacture of many fireproof items such as weapon sheaths, are proof of this claim. In the event that objects made of synthetic materials have never been resistant to fire and heat, they lose their original form and turn into plastic balls in the blink of an eye!

Leather's resistance to wear and tear

Another undeniable and exemplary property of leather is its resistance to wear and tear. The clothes of car racing drivers and rally riders as well as riders are examples of its common uses for this property. This property causes the least damage to the skin of the rider in case of an accident or the motorcycle rider is thrown and dragged on the ground, and leather can prevent various stresses on the human body as much as possible.

Eco-friendly

In addition to the fact that leather is a natural material, no chemicals are used in its production that are harmful to the environment and pollute the air and rivers. Even if chemicals are used in leather processing, its contribution is very small compared to the amount of chemicals used in the production of other synthetic goods. In a world where fashion and beauty are accused of destroying the environment, having leather products is the only way for a person to remain environmentally friendly in addition to being stylish.

Softness of leather

In spite of all these features, what finally distinguishes leather from other materials in nature is its special softness and softness. The creator of the universe has embedded microscopic villi in the skin of animals, which gives them extraordinary softness and beauty, and its example cannot be found in any material. This importance is completely understandable by touching a leather product, and its difference from products made of synthetic materials.

Always on top

Leather is a beautiful natural material. For this reason, it does not lose its unique appearance over time. Therefore, using it in the production of products increases their quality. A leather bag always looks better than a plastic bag, and a leather pant is nicer than a cotton pant. These are undeniable facts.
