How to hold hook and thread in hand?

To have a beautiful and correct weave, it is necessary to hold the hook and thread correctly. Practice regularly to learn the correct technique.

Pass the thread through the left hand's little finger and ring finger to the back of the hand and hold it between two fingers from about 20 cm from the end of the thread.

Pass the end of the thread over your fingers and insert it between your middle and index finger. Then take out the thread from the back of the finger.

Hold the end of the thread with your thumb and middle finger.

It is essential to keep the thumb and index finger parallel. Move your index finger to control the yarn as you weave or pull it out. Hold the hook with the index finger and thumb of the right hand. Place the middle finger on it to control the hook.

Among various weaves, chain weaves, long bases, and short bases are the most important. In fact, by thoroughly learning these three types of textures, you can make many crochet models.

Chain weave:
